Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know I need therapy?
Your curiosity is a sign. If you’ve ever craved a nonjudgmental space to speak your mind and you have a genuine interest in working on your “stuff,” chances are you could benefit from therapy. Additionally, if you are struggling to cope effectively with life stressors and are looking for guidance, therapy might be a great option for you.
A common misconception is that one needs to be in crisis to attend or benefit from therapy. While I accommodate crisis needs into my work, I also work with plenty of individuals who are just looking for someone to talk through daily life stressors.
What insurances do you take?
I am in network with Aetna and United Healthcare (UHC)/Optum. I also offer out-of-network services for individuals who do not have either of the aforementioned insurance plans, meaning you will pay a set fee each session. If you work with me as a self-pay client, I can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance company to receive out-of-network benefits. Ask me more about this!
How much do you charge?
My general rate per session is $185 for self-pay clients. If we are working together through insurance, your copay will depend on your specific insurance plan.
What does your availability look like?
I offer sessions Monday through Thursday. I work from 10am-6pm PST.
